Yes, with a deposit we'll hold a piece for 24 hours. After that it goes back on the floor for the next buyer. Call the Alphington floor on 1300 228 252 and we'll take the details.

Do outlet prices ever get marked down further?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes. If a piece sits on the floor too long it gets cut again to move it. There's no schedule for it, so if you want something at today's price, take it today — we can't hold a price against a future markdown.

Can I see the actual condition before I pay?

Accepted Answer

Always. Come in and inspect the exact piece you're buying — outlet stock is sold as the individual item on the floor, not out of a warehouse. If you can't get in, call and we'll walk over to it and describe every mark honestly, and send photos of anything you want a closer look at.

Is delivery available on clearance stock?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Metro Melbourne delivery starts from $90. We'll place the piece in the room of your choice and take the wrapping away. Regional Victoria and interstate can be quoted on the day.

Do I need an appointment to visit the outlet?

Accepted Answer

No. Walk in any day — 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, or 10am to 5pm on weekends. If you're driving a distance for one specific piece, call ahead and we'll confirm it's still on the floor before you leave.

How do outlet prices compare to the normal range?

Outlet pricing runs well below the standard range — typically 40% to 80% off the original ticket, depending on the piece and the marks it carries. The saving reflects condition and the fact the line is being cleared, not a lesser product.

Can I take the piece home the same day?

Yes — the Alphington floor is the stock. Nothing sits in an offsite warehouse waiting to be ordered in, so whatever you can see is whatever you can take. Bring a ute, van or trailer and we'll help you load it.

Do you offer finance or payment plans on outlet stock?

Yes. The same payment options available across the main Catalano range apply here, including Afterpay and Zip at checkout. Ask the team on the floor and they'll set it up with you.

What condition marks should I expect?

Ex-display pieces carry the wear of a showroom floor — light scuffs, creasing in the leather, small marks on legs or bases. Factory seconds have a cosmetic fault from production, like a stitch out of line or packaging damage. Every mark is pointed out before you buy, and it's priced into the ticket.

Can you assemble or install the piece?

Most outlet pieces arrive assembled or need only legs fitted, which our delivery team handles on site. For anything more involved, let us know at the time of purchase and we'll tell you exactly what's included.

Is outlet stock the same quality as the main range?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Same frames, same leathers, same build as the pieces in our five Melbourne showrooms. The only difference is cosmetic condition or that the line has been discontinued — nothing here is made to a lower spec for the outlet.
